Southeastern Bank announces the election of Cedric King to its Board of Directors. In announcing Cedric’s election, Con Holland, President of Southeastern Bank, stated: “Cedric has long been a leadership force throughout the coastal region. His business acumen and civic involvement will be tremendous assets to our Board.”
A native of Darien, Mr. King graduated from USC Coastal Carolina College in 1995 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, Criminal Justice. He is currently Manager of Community Relations at Pinova, Inc., a subsidiary of DRT, where he oversees not only community relations but workforce training development as well. Over the last 20 years at Pinova, Mr. King has also held leadership positions in human resources, logistics, operations, public-governmental relations, quality control and safety.
In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. King is very active in the local community, currently serving on the College of Coastal Georgia Foundation Board, Coastal Area District Development Authority, Glynn County Airport Commission, Congressional Manufacturing Council – District 1, Georgia SHRM Governmental Affairs Committee, Georgia SHRM Advocacy Team, Advisory Board of Communities in Schools of Glynn and Coastal Georgia Basketball. Mr. King previously served on the Executive Board of the Brunswick – Golden Isles Chamber of Commerce, Brunswick – Glynn County Development Authority and the Jane Macon and Glynn Academy School Councils. Mr. King has received numerous awards and accolades, including recognition as “20 under 40” in the Golden Isles Magazine and the United Way of Coastal Georgia Board Member of the Year.
Mr. King and his wife Crystal have two children, Cekayla and Cedric II. He and his family attend Greater Works Than These Ministries in Brunswick.
