Southeastern Bank Community Foundation Announces Grant Awards

Darien, GA [01/28/2025] – Southeastern Bank Community Foundation, established by Southeastern Bank, recently awarded $30,000 in grants to nonprofit organizations throughout the Bank’s service area for its inaugural grant cycle.  A registered 501(c)(3) organization, the Foundation was formed to support charitable, educational and other qualified activities within the communities served by Southeastern Bank.  The Foundation intends to hold two grant cycles per year, with grants of $1,000 – $5,000 to eligible organizations providing services in Brantley, Bryan, Camden, Charlton, Glynn, Liberty and McIntosh counties in Georgia and Nassau County in Florida.

“At Southeastern Bank, we believe in giving bank to our communities,” said Jay Torbert, President and CEO of Southeastern Bank.  “The Foundation allows us to expand our outreach and further support our local communities.  We are excited to announce our first awards and share more about the positive work being done by the recipients.”

Award recipients included:  $1,000 Start-Ups Consortium, Inc.; Bay Harbour Brantley Church of God food bank; Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Georgia – McIntosh chapter; Called to Care; Camden Community Family Center, Inc.; Charlton County UGA Extension 4-H; Family Promise of Coastal Empire, Inc.; Golden Isles Veterans Village; Liberty County Sheriff’s Office Toy’s for Tots; and The Salvation Army Hope House.  From hunger relief to jobs training, education, housing and child & family support to those in need, each of these organizations is making a positive difference in the Bank’s communities.
