The credit line is activated any time you write a check for more than the balance in your checking account, or any time an ATM transaction withdraws more than the balance in your checking account. Advances are made in $100 multiples up to the limit of your credit line.

Your monthly checking account statement gives you a detailed listing of all your transactions for the month. You will also be shown exactly how much of your Line of Credit is available for use.
